Tumbled Bloodstone

Bloodstone, also known as heliotrope, is a unique gemstone that originates from Brazil. Geologically, it is a variety of chalcedony, a microcrystalline form of quartz. Bloodstone is formed through the deposition of silica-rich fluids in cavities and fractures of rocks, particularly in volcanic environments. These fluids gradually solidify over time, creating the distinct green coloration of bloodstone. The stone derives its name from its deep green hue, interspersed with red or brown spots resembling droplets of blood.
